I had the great privilege of hosting Eric Beatty on his visit. We were both from blue collar cities and rivals. He was a giant of a man, but the epitome of a gentleman. I immediately connected with Eric. He was focused, hard working, and humble. He was a dominate offensive lineman who lead by example. I knew if we could get him to come to Richmond we would have a chance to be special. We pulled out all of the stops on his recruiting visit. He signed with Richmond, and quickly became a starter, Captain, and All-American. He had an impactful and positive influence on the entire TEAM. It’s AMAZING what can happen when a focused group of people come together for a common goal.
